"Clover View Farm" is located in the small town of Ovid, in the heard of the Finger Lakes region of New York. A 100% grass based farm, we provide quality breeding stock and wholesale meat products.
White Dorper livestock, our farm focused breed, offers many opportunities. Founded in South Africa by crossing horned Dorsets and black headed Persians (hair breed), they were able to develop this unique breed. Being one of the heaviest in the hair breeds, they are the perfect match for the farmer focused on the meat market.
They do excellently well on a 100% grass based diet, which in turn saves you the grain bill, and gives you a lean, mild tasting meat. Thanks to their Persian ancestors, White Dorpers excellent meat flavor is also due to their genetics. Lacking the strong, gamy flavor so prevalent in the lamb meat market today, White Dorpers will prove to be a winner, especially among the American consumers.
